Weekend In Paris
When we think about Paris, what comes inside your mind? for me Eiffel Tower. They call Paris the city for lovers, is one of the recommended city to visit in, with your partner and i’m absolutely sure you will fall in love with this city.
My trip to Paris, it was so short, it was only 4 days scape. So, i tried to visit the most visited places that i can. Here i let you know my Weekend in Paris.
Eiffel Tower is located in Champs de Mars. It was built by the engineer Gustave Eiffel, it’s a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
The tower is the tallest structure in Paris and the most visited paid monument in Paris and in the world. Has three levels, on the first and second level has restaurants and on the third level you will find an observatory deck.
Dining in 58 Tour Eiffel. You could have a lunch or dinner in 58 Tour Eiffel, but as i was with my partner we went to have a romantic dinner in this restaurant situated in the 1erst floor of the Eiffel Tower, taste the fresh cuisine by chef Alain Soulard, they offer a variety menu.
The famous river Seine, next to Eiffel Tower. Where you will find a number of river cruises, that some others offer a dinner with an orchestra on the board….such a romantic!!
The Trocadéro and The Palais de Chaillot (view from Eiffel tower)
Infront of the Eiffel Tower if you cross the street, you will find this magnificent Plaza. It’s good to visit it when it’s almost midnight while you are waiting the lights on of the Eiffel Tower, that every 30 minutes at night they open the lights of the tower and its very beautiful to contemplate it. You could also find there some souvenirs, something to eat like crêpes with chocolate or fruits, it’s so delicious.
The Arc of Triomphe at night
You will find it in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. Is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and it is honored for those who fought and died for France in the France Revolutionary, beneath lies the tomb of a soldier from World War I.
Is one of the world’s largest museums and historic monument. With more tan 9.7 million visitors each year and the world’s most visited museum. The museum is situated in the Louvre Palace, where you could find varieties of exhibitions, collections and arts from Leonardo Da Vinci, Picasso, Napoleon, to Egyptian Antiquities. It’s a must visit, if you are planning having a trip to Paris.
Is one of the most famous and well known Cathedral in the world. The Cathedral is a French Gothic architecture. I recommend you to visit the tower, you will find this famous bourdon bell, Gargoyles and the panoramic view of Paris.
Montmartre Town, have a visit in the top of Paris city the Montmartre town. Mostly of the people when they think about Paris they come up in their mind icons like Eiffel Tower, Arc of Triomphe, Notre Dame and so on.. but the truth a bout Parisian people is the original bohemian artist living in Montmartre. Imagine that typical Parisian wearing a beret and baguette under their arms or a typical Parisian artist with whiskers and that is the original Parisian and years ago they were living in Montmartre.
The icon of this town is the Sacre Coeur, if you planning to go inside i recommend it to go on the top of this basilica, hundreds of steps to go up but it’s worthy once you’re upon, you will see the city of Paris and appreciate the view of Eiffel Tower.
Have a visit in Moulin Rouge, if you like to see the famous cabaret and the spectacular show of Cancan, i recommend to visit it. We visited Moulin Rouge inside and we had a dinner and watched the show, while you are having a dinner you could watch the incredible show with orchestra, the entrance is from 100€ per person above.
Is a Luxurious old style Gallery French department store. It will impressed you if you visit this Gallery, looks like your in a past century, the dome ceiling has an incredible architecture, there is also restaurants, bars and grocery stores and yes it’s an expensive store!!
So, this is was my scape to Paris, it was very short but intense.
